Job Description and Duties:

The Senior Park Aide works under the supervision of the Folsom Sector Superintendent, and under the daily direction of the Folsom State Recreation Area Interpreter I and with guidance from the District Interpretive Coordinator. The Senior Park Aide will assist and work collaboratively with the Interpreter I in developing and delivering interpretive and education programs at Folsom Lake SRA and the Folsom Powerhouse SHP. Other duties will include assisting with volunteer coordination, and State Park sponsored special events and other fairs, shows and community events. The Senior Park Aide is expected to work weekends, holidays, and evenings, as needed, and will perform duties dressed in an approved California State Parks uniform. The reporting location for this position will be the Folsom Sector. This position is subject to live scan fingerprint clearance. This position is intermittent and may work up to 189 days or 1500 hours in a 12-month period. State housing is not available. The position requires a valid California Drivers License (CDL).
