Summary Statement: The Seasonal Interpretation Park Position will be responsible for assisting the Interpretive Ranger with park evening programs, Junior Ranger programs, school programs, and park events. This will include, but not be limited to, running existing Park programs, creating new programs, and working with both children and adults to educate the public in the park’s natural resources. This person must have initiative, be able to work independently, and be able to work weekends and holidays. Employees must be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
Must have a valid ID, be able to pass a background check, and be available to work holidays and weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Works well with both children and adults
- Has a background in natural resources, environmental science, education, and/or parks and recreation
- Has strong presentation skills
- Able to use the Microsoft Suite and other computer programs including Adobe Acrobat
- Maintains good public relations with park visitors and staff
- Provides excellent customer service and park information to visitors
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills
- Helps clean and maintain the Activity Center
- Supports other operations in the park: may be asked to assist park maintenance crew or office staff
- Must be able to work independently
- Maintains a positive attitude
- Has strong organizational skills
- Able to be flexible and adapt in a busy park environment

$14.00/hour
