Do you love working with people outdoors? The Bureau of Land Management Medford District is currently hiring TWO interpretive park rangers. Application period ends June 3, 2024.

The rangers will guide interpretive tours and environmental education field trips, promote the BLM at outreach events, rove BLM lands, and work on recreation projects. This work will take place across the Medford District including in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, Table Rocks, and the Wild and Scenic Rogue River.

These term positions have a starting salary of $49,025 with a one-year contract (to be extended up to four years). The positions offer competitive benefits including retirement.

We will be hiring 2 interpretive Park Rangers in the Medford District Office. 

Duties:
Works with the public to provide trail and recreation site information and provides visitor information and education concerning responsible trail and recreation site use to the public. May clean and maintain dispersed recreation facilities, vault toilets, and/or BLM campgrounds.

Assists with development of public relations programs to facilitate community support and involvement in recreation management. Prepares brochures that display district recreation opportunities as needed.

Presents a variety of formal and interpretive programs to include but not limited to, orientation talks, environmental education programs, conducted walks, demonstrations, and campfire programs.
