Idaho Forest Products Commission seeks a motivated, dynamic, creative and enthusiastic individual to oversee and implement all aspects of our robust forest-focused environmental education programming for PreK-12 educators and students. IFPC is the Idaho base for Project Learning Tree (PLT).

Summary

The Education and Outreach Coordinator, under the supervision of the Idaho Forest Products Commission (IFPC) Director, strategizes, develops and delivers IFPC's comprehensive PreK-12th grade education and outreach program; coordinates communications to education audiences; connects educators to high quality teaching resources and to people who work in the forest sector; provides administrative support for education program operations and oversees Idaho Project Learning Tree (PLT). PLT is an environmental education program designed for teachers and other educators, parents and community leaders working with youth from preschool through grade 12. PLT provides educator training, activities and resources to engage youth in learning about the environment through the lens of trees and forests. IFPC is a state commission offering excellent benefits including paid time off, health, dental and vision insurance and PERSI (Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho) retirement.

Compensation Information

Salary: $49,000-$52000 + generous State of Idaho benefits package
