Summary
Graduation from High School or GED required. Higher education degree or coursework in related fields preferred. Desired experience in parks and recreation, non-profits, volunteerism and project management. Passion for and experience as a volunteer and/or volunteer supervisor. Willingness and ability to work an irregular schedule, including days, nights and weekends. General knowledge of Summit Metro Parks and risk management preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written word with clarity and brevity. Strong interpersonal skills with diverse people groups, whether one on one or in a group settings. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative processes. Demonstrated emotional intelligence to include self-awareness and accurate self-assessment, sensitivity, openness, reliability, trustworthiness and consistency. Ability to be flexible, creative, prioritize, problem solve, maintain multiple projects, set and meet goals, and receptive to guidance and direction. Strong proficiency to operate a variety of office equipment and software programs such as Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, Google Drive, and Constant Contact or other bulk email provider. Valid driver’s license with clear driving record and policy-compliant background check required.

Compensation Information
$17 - $24 per hour dependent upon qualifications and experience; Ohio Public Employees Retirement and sick leave accruals
