The Mobile Maker Lab Project In-School Manager is skilled in a broad range of effective educational practices, curriculum development, delivery and event and program delivery of STEM initiatives. The Manager spends a great deal of time traveling throughout Eastern Oregon bringing STEM programming to schools/classrooms throughout GO STEM's 7 county region.
Summary
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Public Outreach and Engagement
- Work with P-20 youth and educators on a variety of STEM projects, camps, training sessions, classroom visits, industry tours, and other initiatives germane to the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization pertaining to Mobile Maker Space efforts.
- School-based events (In school programming utilizing the Mobile Maker Lab and school-based locations, implement program curriculum, school wide assemblies, etc.),
- Community-based events (outdoor school, STEM professional programs, Hub outreach, summer programming, etc.),
- Career Connected Learning and Work-based Learning opportunities,
- STEM internship and CCL support,
- Lending library and STEM material supply management,
- Understand CTE/CCL/WBL pipelines and pathways,
- Develop and deliver curriculum and lesson planning resources related to STEM/NGSS/Common Core,
- Support schools and educators with in school STEM curriculum development and alignment.
- Provide and post content for social media outreach, provide website content, and development of fliers for programming.
Program Management
- Plan and organize in-school events for schools, communities, and organizations,
- Communicate with schools, businesses, and organizations regarding Mobile Maker Lab activities,
- Provide support for teachers around NGSS, CCSS, STEM, Career Connected Learning, associated with the Mobile Maker Lab,
- Contribute content for publication on Hub websites, social and print media,
- Understand and adhere to Hub budgets and grant allocations,
- Provide assessment and reporting information related to Mobile Maker Lab programs, events, and outreach for effectiveness,
- Propose and implement resource development, training, and operational improvements,
- Use a trauma-informed and equity lens in design and delivery of program services,
- Maintain confidentiality of student information,
- Understand and adhere to Hub budgets and grant allocations,
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both written and verbal.
Service and Other Duties as Assigned
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices across STEM, CCL, and WBL domains and issues impacting regional industry and education sectors,
- Manage contracted personnel, student workers and volunteers,
- Perform other duties and projects as the GO STEM Hub Program Director assigns.
Compensation Information
$48,619 to $57,200 Annually DOE
