The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is recruiting a Youth Programs Manager to implement our signature youth program, Youth Backcountry Camp, expand programming including new opportunities for families, and organize service-learning projects to engage more youth in the outdoors and build the next generation of environmental stewards. This position is based out of our Stateline, NV office on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Summary

The Youth Programs Manager serves as a vital, full-time member of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association's dedicated team. In this role, they assume responsibility for leading experiential education and trail maintenance initiatives tailored to youth participants. Furthermore, the manager is tasked with innovating and executing imaginative programs to expand the organization's outreach to new audiences and foster increased youth involvement in outdoor activities.


During the winter months, the focus of this position shifts toward critical aspects such as program development, staff recruitment, and budgeting. As the spring and summer seasons unfold, the Youth Programs Manager experiences peak activity, engaging in collaborative meetings with partners, conducting staff training sessions, and executing diverse programs. This dynamic period may entail extended field days, weekend commitments, and occasional evening work. Fall marks the culmination of programs, with the manager spearheading the wrap-up process, compiling comprehensive reports, and envisioning what is possible for the next season.

Compensation Information

Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $ 50k to $ 65k annually.
