Join a dynamic team in educating students about the wonders of the outdoors and environmental science! Camp Carter serves over 6,000 students yearly in facilitating day and overnight field trips. Classes taught include lake ecology, team building activities, geocaching, animal sciences, and more. Camp Carter is 360 acres with its our own private lake, equestrian center, challenge course, hiking trails, and other amenities, Camp Carter has a lot to offer its guests and its staff!

Summary

Camp Carter's Outdoor Education Naturalists facilitate small group activities in a camp setting, engaging in a culturally relevant way that encourages enthusiasm for learning.  Naturalists assist in planning and implementing program activities that are developmentally appropriate and engaging, and ensure any required educational or testing standards are met.

Compensation Information

Compensation starts at $10/hour. Experience and qualifications will be considered in determining compensation.  Limited housing available.  While this position is seasonal and the Outdoor Education season operates primarily in the fall, winter, and spring, there are opportunities to continue working with Camp Carter in the summer.
