Summary
Eco-Cycle’s Green Star Schools (GSS) program builds on and adds to the Eco-Cycle School Recycling and Environmental Education Program. The Green Star Schools program introduces compost collection to schools, improves recycling collections, and puts a strong emphasis on waste reduction activities. The program provides participating schools with extensive and ongoing support, feedback, incentives, rewards, and special projects. This program is key to helping create environmentally literate graduates in Boulder County.
The Green Star Schools Program Coordinator works as part of a dynamic team of staff who support programming and environmental education at schools. The primary focus of this position is to assist the Green Star School Program Manager with coordination, development, and delivery of programming and education focused on waste reduction (reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost), and will support other environmental education presentations as needed.
