North Cascades Institute seeks a qualified, detailed orientated individual to join our accounting team. Based at the Institute’s administrative office in Sedro-Woolley (although some remote work hours are possible). The Bookkeeper is responsible for tracking the day-to-day financial activity; especially Accounts Payable and provides some support for administrative tasks. We offer a competitive compensation package. Benefits are prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week and include: paid time off, Medical/dental insurance, long and short-term disability insurance, tax-deferred annuity and contribution retirement plan. The planned start date is early or mid-April 2023 and review of applications will begin immediately. Position will remain open until filled. Compensation Information

This is a regular, 80% (32 hours, 4 days per week), non-exempt position. The pay rate is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Personal transportation is required.

We offer a competitive compensation package. Benefits are prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week and included the following:

  • Sick Leave – 8 hours per month.
  • Vacation Leave – 10 days per year one.
  • Holiday Leave – 12 days maximum per year.
  • Service Days – 2 days per year.
  • Other paid time-off such as family leave, pregnancy leave, bereavement leave, etc.
  • Medical/dental insurance, long and short-term disability insurance, tax-deferred annuity and contribution retirement plan.
  • Yearly stipend to participate in Institute programs.
