Summary
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach outdoor and environmental education lessons that support academic standards in science, math, physical education, SEL, ELA, and STEAM.
2. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate outdoor learning into ongoing units and projects.
3. Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles, developmental needs, and student needs.
4. Provide an enthusiastic and positive learning climate which promotes appropriate behavior and successful learning.
5. Promote high expectations, demonstrate a caring attitude, and establish behavior management systems that are appropriate to the developmental level for students.
6. Other assignments as needed and/or deemed necessary by the Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate in the field of science.
2. Demonstrates skill and experience in accommodating and working with students at various levels of ability.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.
4. Ability to work cooperatively with parents and staff members in a site-based decision-making environment.
5. Ability to maintain professional attitude in stressful situations.
6. Other qualifications as needed and/or deemed necessary by the Administration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Hours per week equivalent of .5 FTE, and days per year to be determined by the Administration. Salary and benefits according to the adopted salary schedule.
