Vida Verde is seeking a skilled Development Professional to join our team in a leadership fundraising role, with placement as either Development Director or Development Manager based on experience. This position is central to our mission and focuses on building meaningful relationships with our community of supporters to sustain and grow our work with youth. The Development Professional partners closely with organizational leadership to lead events, strengthen fundraising strategy, steward foundation and individual giving, and support long-term financial health, while representing Vida Verde with care, energy, and integrity in the wider community.

Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW: This is a posting for DD & DM in one posting. We will be hiring for one of these two positions.
The difference in the positions is that the DD will come with more development experience, will have more of a hand in
budget creation and development plan creation. The DD will execute more efficiently, and take more of a lead. There is
an accordant difference in the compensation. All other parts of the position are the same. You will see notes below about
DD specific responsibilities. **Please only apply for the the DD role if you have 3+ years professional experience in
development.
The Development Director (DD)/ Development Manager (DM) roles are 40-hour/week, full-time, 2 days/week on site,
and up to 3 days remote/week, exempt leadership position, reporting to the Executive Director, Shawn Sears. Vida
Verde's fundraising approach is well established and successful. We place high value on our relationships with all who

contribute toward our mission, and strive toward a community-centric fundraising model. The development work itself is
valued as integral and essential, and is at the "heart" of the organization right along with our programs and work with
youth. To that end, the DD/DM will maintain an energetic, positive, detail oriented, and improvement-driven leadership
role as a representative of the organization to the wider community, with a possibility for staff leadership. The DD/DM
will identify, cultivate, and solicit contributions from our beautiful community of foundations and individual donors.
The DD/DM will work strategically to build (*DD only) and carry out an annual fundraising plan in collaboration with the
ED. The DD/DM will meticulously manage the database (DonorPerfect) and the overall granting process. The DD/DM will
work independently and often in close collaboration with the Executive Director, COO, and at times event & program
staff. Also creating an income report for the COO/Board. This role may manage one employee.

Compensation Information


- The salary range for the Development Director position is $99,000–$115,000 per year, depending on experience
and expertise.

- The salary range for the Development Manager position is $79,000–$89,000 per year, depending on experience
and expertise.
- The position includes remote work up to 3 days per week, after an initial period.
- Housing option: on site, shared or independent housing is an optional part of the compensation package (salary
adjusted).
