Environmental Education of New Mexico (EENM) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Albuquerque, NM with a statewide focus of helping New Mexicans gain access to high quality, engaging, and meaningful environmental education opportunities. EENM’s mission is to ensure every NM child has equitable access to environmental and outdoor learning through implementing an advocacy-focused movement as well as advancing collaboration and leadership. About this Position
EENM seeks to recruit a part-time coordinator who values working collaboratively with a board and is driven and self-motivated. This position will support strategies to grow the organization, expand donors and membership, diversify and strengthen the organization’s revenue streams, and assist with daily operational needs. This position will manage communications with donors and partners, represent EENM in statewide events, and research and apply for grant opportunities that align with EENM’s mission. This position will also help maintain the organization’s operations, including maintaining its website and social media, answering emails, preparing reports for monthly board meetings, and managing a budget of expenses in coordination with the board. Currently, this position is offered as a one-year term with the potential to be extended. The coordinator will work approximately 20 hours weekly, and is remote-eligible but candidates in the Greater Albuquerque area will be given preference.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to plan strategies for organizational growth.
- Utilize strategic objectives to identify grant and fundraising opportunities.
- Operations
- Maintain EENM website, Facebook and Instagram page, and EcoEd listserv. Update and post new content on a regular basis.
- Monitor EENM email account and respond to email inquiries as an EENM staff representative
- Communicate with the EENM Board on a weekly basis and prepare reports for monthly board meetings.
- Manage a budget of expenses in coordination with the board and keep records of expenses.
- Grant / Program Funding
- Communicate with donors and partners and strategize with the Board on ways to revive the membership program.
- Identify a strategy for grants and submit applications on a quarterly basis.
- Implement program deliverables on existing grants.
The ideal candidate is people-oriented and believes in EENM’s mission of providing equitable and educational opportunities for New Mexicans. They should be a strong communicator and open to brainstorming ideas and receiving feedback. They must be adaptable and enjoy a position that offers flexibility but also requires initiative and creativity.
The ideal start date for this position is April 1, 2025.

Compensation Information
