Special Programs Coordinator - Outdoor Recreation

The Special Programs Coordinator - Outdoor Recreation is a full time Civil Service position in the Metro Parks and Recreation department.  The primary duties of this position consist of planning, instructing, and facilitating outdoor and adventure recreation activities for diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors. The purpose is to expand nature based outdoor recreational opportunities designed to get people outdoors in a fun and active way and to expose and educate them about the natural world. The programs should include skill-based activities such as paddling (canoe, kayak, paddle board), climbing and hiking, mountain biking, camping and other outdoor programs.
