Summary
Sierra Nevada Journeys is seeking a Part-Time Science Educator to teach environmental science at the elementary level in a variety of settings – in the classrooms; nearby nature areas – in the Sacramento, CA area. Earn $20-23 per hour, + mileage, leading classroom lessons for students, Kindergarten through sixth grade. Lead trail groups of 10-to-15 students through a variety of field-based science activities at local nature sites while covering subjects including environmental, earth, physical, and life sciences through our Classrooms Unleashed program. Availability Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Also, you will help run Family STEM Nights by organizing supplies, facilitating operations, and working with a team of staff and volunteers to engage families in hands-on STEM activities at local elementary schools. These events happen on weekdays between 4 and 7:30 p.m.

Compensation Information
- $20-23 per hour
- Potential to earn an additional 3% in pay for bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages that support our programs
