Summary of essential job functions:

  • Coordinate the Kentucky Green Schools program and our district-level professional development program.
  • Oversee and build the capacity of the KAEE facilitator network for our various curriculum programs.
  • Advance strategies to support the ongoing growth and engagement of KAEE’s membership.
  • Coordinate KAEE’s annual awards program.
  • Coordinate KAEE educational programs and events, including the Outdoor Learning Symposium, Green Career Days, and Core Curriculum Program.
  • Coordinate logistics for various workshops, meetings, and other events.
  • Coordinate designated KAEE Affinity Groups and Action Teams.
  • Serve as state coordinator for Project WILD.


Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of the organization. They will be highly proficient in the use of Google Suite or have the ability to pick up new software easily. They will work well as part of a remote team, and be okay spending much of their time on a computer. This position will require a self-starter with strong networking and interpersonal skills; experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds; excellent spelling, grammar, typing, and organizational skills; and strong attention to detail. We are seeking a candidate with a background and experience in education or a natural resource-related field. Some nights, weekends, and travel will be required.

Compensation Information

Pay: $42,000

 

Compensation and Benefits: Full time, exempt position, working 40 hours per week. We believe in work-life balance and a flexible, family-friendly schedule and therefore offer compensatory time up to 120 hours for additional hours worked, 10 days of vacation time, 12 days of sick leave, and 14 paid holidays per year.  Additional benefits include healthcare or a health reimbursement of $150/month and up to a 3% match for a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan. Reimbursement will be given for costs incurred during work-related travel.
