Summary

Nevada Outdoor School is hiring for a full-time Programs Coordinator in Winnemucca! This position will coordinate and oversee the delivery of NOS Youth, Training and Community programs by training, delegating and supervising our AmeriCorps Outdoor Educators. Candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain Leave No Trace, Tread Lightly and OHV Safety Trainer Certifications. Some NOS programs are provided statewide, so a valid driver’s license is required.

Skills & experience desired: College degree or at least 4 years of experience in a related field. Supervisor experience that includes training, coaching and evaluating personnel is required. Excellent writing, public speaking, organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills are a must. Knowledge and experience teaching youth and adults in inquiry-based teaching methods and curriculum design is desired.

Compensation Information

Benefits: Competitive salary (dependent on experience) - $34,000 - $40,000 annually; monthly medical insurance or retirement benefit; generous holiday, vacation, sick leave and compensatory time benefit; many opportunities for career development and a good work/life balance.
