About the Senior Haz-Waste Technician Role
Supports Sustainability Services onsite program, including manual labor associated with chemical handling, lab pack duties, drum movements within the facility, drum bulking, drum crushing, assisting when extra personnel are needed and other duties as assigned. This is a support position focused on hazardous and non-hazardous waste related projects
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: None required (in addition to education requirement).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience preferred.
- 24-hour HAZWOPER certification (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain such within 30 days of employment.
- Manifesting hazardous and non-hazardous waste experience preferred.
- Valid Drivers License
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Must be able to work independently with little direction, and as a member of a team.
- Forklift experience strongly preferred
- Prior hazardous waste experience strongly preferred
Compensation Information
The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $21.00 - $25.00 /hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
