Summary
Are you looking for an opportunity to support community centered leaders who are destined for success in the outdoor industry? Justice Outside advances racial justice and equity in the outdoor and environmental movement. We shift resources to, build power with, and center the voices and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color because the health of current and future generations demands it.
The Outdoor Educators Institute (OEI) is adding a Seattle, WA area cohort and needs a Program Coordinator. OEI supports the next generation of culturally relevant outdoor educators through hands-on field experiences and training as well as in-class training. OEI strengthens leadership and outdoor technical skills of young adults ages 18-24 who have been historically underrepresented in the outdoor education field, and provides a path to employment in outdoor education and recreation upon completion of the program.
The OEI Program Coordinator works under the guidance of the Director of Programs and reports directly to the OEI Program Manager. The OEI team works closely together and includes a Program Associate and OEI Coordinators in the Bay Area and Fresno. The OEI Program Coordinator will be responsible for participant recruitment, selection, and onboarding; program planning; and behind-the-scenes logistical coordination during the three-month program implementation.
