Outdoor Education Assistant Preschool Teacher

Friends’ Neighborhood Nursery School seeks an energetic, nature oriented, part time, summer camp assistant teacher who appreciates and enjoys the gifts and talents young children ages 2.5 to 5 years old bring to their educational experience. 

The assistant teacher supports the teacher and the director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for children and implementing developmentally appropriate activities under the direction of the teacher and the director. Assistant teachers should be prepared to spend the bulk of their time outdoors and demonstrate a passion for using nature as a context for child centered learning. The ideal candidate should value and promote child led curriculum as well as communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment. 

Average Workday:  Monday through Friday, 8:30am-12:15pm
