Lincoln Parks and Recreation is hiring a coordinator for Pioneer’s Park Nature Center. Comprised of 668 acres of tallgrass prairie, woodlands, saline wetlands, interpretive and educational buildings, Pioneers Park Nature Center has been a cherished environmental education hub and wildlife preserve since 1963. The Nature Center Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of program and facility operations.

Summary

EXAMPLE OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Provide strategic leadership and coordinate planning for Pioneers Park Nature Center.
  • Lead Outdoor Education, Visitor Services, and Land Management staff in the daily operations of Pioneers Park Nature Center.
  • Organize, develop, and conduct a comprehensive environmental education and interpretive program at Pioneers Park Nature Center and within the community.
  • Develop and maintain cooperation between public, civic, professional, and voluntary agencies with shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop budgets and monitor expenses for areas of responsibility.

Compensation Information

Salary: $28.39 - $37.87 Hourly
