The strongest Member Engagement Coordinator candidates will have familiarity with AmeriCorps (former AmeriCorps members will thrive!) and be excited about engaging AmeriCorps members virtually and in-person. If you are passionate about building community and fostering success for EE budding professionals, this is the position for you!

We are looking someone skilled at volunteer management and building community and long-distance engagement via virtual platforms/email. A major part of this position includes planning meetings/events/ongoing engagement with AmeriCorps Environmental Education Leadership Corps members serving at sites across Kentucky.

Summary

Job Overview and Requirements: KAEE is seeking to immediately fill a grant funded position. This position will report to the Kentucky Environmental Education Council (keec.ky.gov), which is a state agency within the Education and Labor Cabinet, and will support the agency’s effort to place AmeriCorps members at organizations seeking to expand their environmental education program capacity through member engagement. The main role of the Member Engagement Coordinator will be to develop and maintain AmeriCorps member recruitment strategies, build relationships with EELCorps members, and support EELCorps members in completion of their service years. This is a semi-remote position, and thus, the majority of member engagement will happen virtually via Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Outlook, and/or other platforms. KAEE will be serving as the fiscal agent for this position.

This position is 100% funded through a grant from the AmeriCorps state service commission, Serve Kentucky, which is annually renewable through August 31, 2024, dependent upon successfully securing additional funding.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Position based in Frankfort, KY. Some travel required. Semi-Remote position. Tuesdays required in-person at 500 Mero St, Frankfort, KY 40601. Candidate must reside in Kentucky while employed with KAEE.

Reports to: EELCorps Program Director.
