Lower Elementary Lead Teacher

The lead teacher must share our desire to advance the school’s values and mission and be able to incorporate those philosophies into curricular activities. The ideal applicant will be a creative, talented and dedicated teacher, a team player, and possess excellent classroom management and communication skills. Candidates should have a commitment to and knowledge of the development of the whole child. They should have experience practicing Positive Discipline techniques and guiding students in peaceful conflict resolution. Experience, certification, and/or interest in Montessori and other experiential education methods, outdoor education, and multi-age classrooms is essential. 

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of teaching experience and at least three years of experience working with 6 - 9 year olds.
• Master’s degree plus two years of teaching experience working with 6 - 9 year olds.
