EcoRise seeks a self-motivated, highly organized, adaptable, and experienced Grants Manager to join our Development Team to lead grant research, writing, and monitoring efforts, including the writing of corporate, foundation, government, and community grants, concept notes, proposals. This position will be responsible for grant reporting and other related tasks such as research, data collection, data entry, and analysis related to grants procurement. The Grants Manager position is fully remote with regular team meetings and occasional travel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and author compelling letters of interest, concept notes, proposals, and reports -- collaborating across teams to gather and include relevant inputs and necessary data into each piece.
  • Ensure that all written submissions from EcoRise comply with parameters and detailed requirements for each funder.
  • Use project management tools for the different phases of proposal creation including research, writing, team review and approval, submission, transmittal, and organization.
  • Lead grant management and monitoring activities for secured grants, including documenting and communicating reporting requirements, tracking correspondence with funders, producing grant progress reports, and staying ahead of funder reporting requirements and action items.
  • Use and refine internal systems, structures, and processes to maintain clear organization of the Development team’s activities and workflow.
  • Leverage technology tools and applications such as Salesforce, Google Apps, Dropbox, and Trello to effectively manage proposals, reporting, and data.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience related to nonprofit grant writing, grants management, and reporting. Federal grant writing expertise helpful.
  • Experience writing grants, corporate proposals, and/or other relevant materials with a racial equity lens.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that help represent racially, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse communities.
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple, simultaneous projects on time with high quality results Self-driven personality with effective project-management skills.
  • Attentive to detail with keen aptitude for organization.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and Salesforce.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and give and receive feedback.
  • Committed to, knowledgeable of, and enthusiastic about the EcoRise mission and programs; familiarity with sustainability, environmental and climate justice, and public K–12 education systems.

Compensation Information

This is a full-time position beginning approximately October 1, 2023, with an annual salary ranging from $58,000 to $67,000, based on experience. Benefits include an unlimited PTO policy with 7 paid holidays and three weeks recess for all staff, flexible Fridays, insurance (including health, dental and vision), retirement plan contribution, $1,500 quality of life stipend, professional development and technology stipends, and co-working expense reimbursement.
