Do you love nature, the outdoors, and talking to people? Are you interested in learning and sharing forest science? Are you interested in work-based learning and professional development in parks? This is a full-time, one-year, paid fellowship designed for individuals interested in parks, forests, and community engagement.

Summary

We are seeking a Community Engagement Fellow to help ensure the success of One Tam's "Marin Regional Forest Health Strategy," by leading efforts to educate and engage community members about Marin’s forests and the need for forest stewardship. The Fellow will gain knowledge on fire ecology, the role that invasive species play in increasing wildland fire behavior, wildland fire safety and prevention, and climate change adaptation strategies for forest management.

Compensation Information

  • Pay rate: $22/hour (Grade 8)
