Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve is located between Two Rivers and Manitowoc, Wisconsin and draws thousands of visitors each year.  What began in 1974 with a particular interest in migrating bird habitat along Lake Michigan is now 1,500 acres of preserved habitat including hardwood and conifer forests, wetlands and prairies.  Our mission is to preserve our globally rare habitat as a sanctuary and to educate people about the natural environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background, either through a formal degree or abundant specific experience, of ecological processes, land stewardship and/or environmental education.  Preference will be given to those with experience working at a nonprofit, nature center, or similar organization in Wisconsin or nearby states.  Personal integrity, a motivating management style, good communication skills, and a respect for the history of the organization are qualities we seek.  The Executive Director works under the general supervision of the board of directors and supports the staff, which currently has six full-and part-time employees plus seasonal interns.
