Position: K-2 Teacher
Location: Green Adventure Project School, a unique outdoor school

Your Role:

  • Inspire Young Minds: Create and implement engaging, hands-on math & science lesson plans that incorporate the natural environment, encouraging curiosity and a love for learning in your students.
  • Foster a Love for Nature: Use our beautiful outdoor setting to teach children about the wonders of nature, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
  • Holistic Education: Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child, recognizing and nurturing their unique strengths and interests.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, families, and the local community, creating a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive school culture.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Outdoor Education: A strong commitment to integrating outdoor experiences into the curriculum. Desire to teach outdoors in all weather.
  • Teaching Certification: Valid K-2 teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an outdoor or nature-based setting.
  • Creativity and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a dynamic, outdoor learning environment and creatively engage students.

Compensation Information

Pay Range of $40,000-$55,000 depending on experience

Simple IRA retirement plan with a 2% employer contribution

Time off includes a week at Thanksgiving, two week winter holiday, a week for spring break, June & July
