Boulder County Parks & Open Space is seeking an exceptional leader for our fun, creative and dynamic education team as the Education and Outreach Supervisor. This pivotal position performs specialized professional management duties and supervises the activities of eight full-time staff, approximately 10-15 seasonal staff, and 350 program volunteers.

Summary

This position sets priorities for the Education & Outreach workgroup through cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring that departmental goals are met. The position will advance our commitment that open space is for everyone and that visitors, volunteers, and staff reflect our diverse community. The position oversees formal and informal opportunities for the public to learn about local natural and cultural resources, open space stewardship, volunteer opportunities, and the diverse human history of Boulder County. This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Tuesday - Saturday (April - Oct.) and Monday - Friday (Nov. - Mar.) 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with flexibility. This position will work out of the POS headquarters located at 5201 St. Vrain Rd. Longmont, CO, 80503.

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Compensation Information

Under FLSA guidelines, this position is exempt. New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month.

Hiring Salary Range: $74,988.00 - $91,476.00 Annually
