Summary
The Education Coordinator is coming in to help implement exciting new initiatives of reaching Every Kid in Wyoming as well as to sustain long-standing outdoor learning experiences. In daily collaboration with Grand Teton National Park and Teton Science Schools staff, the Coordinator helps develop other educators, support school and youth organization relationships, develop and refine educational content and envision the future of education in the park. This is a full-time benefitted position. Three to Five years of experience is ideal.
Coordination: Fielding program inquiries, scheduling programs and associated staffing, setting up logistics and communication systems.
Programming: Develop, train others in, and / or lead educational programming that supports school, organization or community goals as well as park goals. Ensure engaging learning opportunities that link conservation of Grand Teton to stewardship in backyards and communities.
Community Relationships: Collaborate with teachers, Teton Science Schools, youth leaders and organizations, and other park partners including the University of Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park Foundation. Build and maintain relationships that benefit the park and the community.
Youth Programs: Provide administrative support and occasional programming for youth workforce development programs like conservation corps and internships.
Administrative Management: Assist with tracking budgets, purchasing, and reporting. Develop or revise standard operating and safety procedures. Select, edit, and prepare high-quality images and text for program flyers, web or social media posts. Organize and maintain team filing systems for lessons and other common documents.
Leadership: Serve as a role model and coach for seasonal staff, interns or partner staff.
Compensation Information
