Summary
The Vashon Nature Center creates transformative nature experiences through community science, research, and education. The Education Assistant will work closely with Education Director to plan and deliver hands-on education units to students in grades 1 - 12, support community education programs, and coordinate summer camp programs. We seek an education assistant to support and help support work with school students, work with students.
Work Environment: 20 - 32 hours/week (negotiable). Tuesday - Friday work week with occasional night and weekend hours. Report to various teaching sites throughout the Vashon Island School District and field locations across Vashon-Maury island. Work from home when not required for in-person trainings, meetings, and program coordination.

Compensation Information
Rate: $20-23/hr based on experience and organizational fit
● 0.50 - 1 F.T.E. based on 32hours/week
● Flexible time off, & transportation stipend for commuters
● No other benefits, room, or board
