Summary

The Delaware Sea Grant Extension, Education, and Research Internship (EERI) offers hands-on experience in marine science education, outreach, and research. Interns will assist with non-formal education programs, community science initiatives, and fieldwork in areas like submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), fisheries, and climate science. Responsibilities include leading public tours, supporting teacher workshops, developing outreach materials, and conducting environmental monitoring. This paid internship (10–13 weeks, 20–29 hours/week) is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in science communication and environmental stewardship. Work is primarily in-person at UD’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes, DE, with some field travel. Applications due by March 19, 2025.

Compensation Information

This is a paid internship at $15 - $20 an hour depending on experience, and hiring is contingent upon receiving federal funding.
