With your knowledge and innovation, 

You will be responsible for policy implementation and coordination for regional implementation of salmon fisheries in the marine waters of Puget Sound, and salmon and steelhead fisheries in freshwater.

Bring your deep understanding of Fisheries Management to, 

Ensure that all salmon and steelhead management activities are aligned with the agency mandate for preservation, protection, and perpetuation of these populations in Washington State.

Critical issues this position manages include:

  • Development and implementation of fishery and conservation and recovery plans for salmon and steelhead throughout Washington State.
  • Address and ensure compliance with the Endangered Species Act.
  • Accountable to maximize recreational and commercial harvest opportunities in a dynamic landscape of competing interests.

You excel in fostering collaboration and cultivating a strong sense of teamwork, 

Represent the State of Washington in International Pacific Salmon Commission forums – Southern Panel, Fraser River Panel – which will require timely, dynamic fishery decisions affecting commercial and sport fishing interests in Washington State.

Compensation Information

Salary: $100,000.00 - $117,300.00 Annually
