Summary
This position will work closely with EarthCorps’ Sr. Ecologist to carry out professional services for EarthCorps’ Clients related to survey and inventory projects, data evaluation, and monitoring habitats on public and private lands throughout the Puget Sound region, compiling habitat restoration plans and monitoring reports. This will be accomplished through generating, managing, and conducting fee-for-service work and grant funded projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ecological field studies to assess habitat health
- Monitor vegetation and restoration sites
- Prepare scientific reports and data analyses
- Perform GIS mapping and manage project documentation
- Engage with the community and represent EarthCorps at public events
Qualifications:
- Degree in botany, biology, restoration ecology, or related field
- At least two years of field experience
- Strong skills in vegetation monitoring and data analysis
- Proficiency with Trimble GPS, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office
- Commitment to racial equity and environmental justice
- Positive attitude and ability to work in adverse field conditions
