Positions are available at Marin County Office of Education’s Walker Creek Ranch, a west Marin Outdoor Education and Conference Center about 30 minutes west of Novato and Petaluma. Shifts begin in June with more frequent weekday and weekend shifts available from July through the end of August 2024.

Summary

Lifeguard ($22.57/hour) supports the conference center and hospitality services by overseeing waterfront activities at our 4-acre pond. A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate is required. If you do not have a certification and would like to receive training, attend our staff lifeguard training in June. Lifeguards are needed to support with limited dining hall assistance.

Conference Worker ($22.57/hour) supports the conference center and hospitality services by setting up, cleaning, and breaking down lodging and meeting rooms, supporting in the dining hall and kitchen during mealtimes, and working with conference guests.

*It is possible to work in both capacities throughout the summer.

Expect 32-40 hours per week in July. June and August hours may vary.

Housing is available for those (18 years and older) interested in consistent summer employment.

Access to food from the dining hall is also included during shifts.
