As our Program Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of tomorrow by supporting school vegetable gardening programs aligned with Delaware's science curriculum. From engaging with students in the garden to spearheading strategic planning initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on education statewide. Summary

Support HFHK’s school vegetable garden program in assigned schools and train teachers in HFHK’s science-based garden curriculum. Other areas include playing a key role in the strategic planning process to grow the program statewide, significant public relations support (social media, e-newsletters, annual report, outreach events), volunteer outreach and coordination, and developing and implementing lessons to support Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and project-based learning around real-world problems.  Job posting available on LinkedIn.  Learn more about our program at hfhk.org.  You can also submit your resume to sleach@healthyfoodsforhealthykids.org.

Compensation Information

Hours: Salary, averaging approximately 40 hrs/week. Seasonal and project-based variations in work volume will occur throughout the year. Occasional weekend and evening work. This is a hybrid position with office hours taking place at home and on-site hours as needed in the schools. Mileage reimbursement is available. Benefits: HFHK does not have a healthcare benefits program, but does offer a reimbursement stipend to those who qualify. 
Pay rate: $45,000. Please note this salary is grant-based and nonnegotiable. Potential for raise after one-year employment is based on 6-month and 1-year reviews. This is a permanent position.
