Teacher Naturalists are environmental educators who are part of an awesome community of learning, leading students through learning activities, meals, and evening activities like campfire songs in a spiritual Catholic setting. CYO Environmental Education at Camp Hamilton brings 5th and 6th grade classes out for an immersion experience in a secluded and beautiful wilderness setting for 6 weeks in the spring.

Summary

At Camp Hamilton on lovely Lake Hannan between Duvall and Monroe, you will spend time in the forest and on the lake teaching lessons and exploring with 5th and 6th grade students, teachers, and parent chaperones. Camp runs Monday- Friday for about 6 weeks in April and May.

Compensation Information

Teacher-Naturalists are paid a daily rate as seasonal employees that comes to between $1,300-$2,300/month. We provide living space in common cabins at rustic Camp Hamilton. We provide board on weekdays and access to the kitchen on weekends. Teacher-Naturalists have an optional 2 paid sick days during the season.
