Assistant Teacher

The Kinder Garden Preschool, a nature-based preschool with two locations (Raleigh and Wake Forest) serves children ages 3-5 years old. We spend the majority of our day outside exploring and enjoying activities focused on the natural world & supplemented with natural materials. Our curriculum prioritizes developmentally appropriate social-emotional skills.

Our Wake Forest farm location is currently seeking a candidate for a part-time assistant position starting February 1, 2024. The weekly schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am until 1:30pm.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in early childhood education and an interest in nature-based education. A plus is an interest in earning an Environmental Education Certification. The ideal candidate must be physically able to stand/move/walk for extended periods of time, capable of lifting/moving 50+ pounds as needed, and comfortable working in a multitude of outdoor conditions including, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain, etc., as safety permits.
