We are looking for talented outdoor educators to work on the Skipjack Sigsbee teaching students and adults about the environment and local history.
Summary
As a crew member you would assist with safe vessel operations, teach students and members of the public, and help to maintain the historic ships. Crew members on the Mildred Belle provide high quality, safe, and hands-on experiences for all who board this historic vessel.
Educational Coordinator
The Educational Coordinator is in charge of the daily education mission on the boats and creates the education plan for the day's trip. They also are responsible for taking pictures, posting to social media, and coordinating with the teacher, client, and office staff.
Deckhand/ Educator on sailing vessel SIGSBEE or motor vessel MILDRED BELLE
The Deckhand/Educator assists in the implementation of maritime education programs, including day trips on vessels, land/sea programs, charters, and virtual programs.
Mate (unlicensed)
The Mate (unlicensed) is in charge of the maintenance and daily operations on the sailing vessel and also teaches students with the rest of the crew. They also are responsible for keeping the vessel clean and safe, teaching students, and coordinating with the captain and office staff.

Educational Coordinator
Pay starts at $16/hour plus housing and some meals
Deckhand/Educator
This is a seasonal salary position that runs from March-November.
The pay is $1200/bi-weekly ($15/hour) plus housing and some meals.
Mate (unlicensed)
This is a seasonal salary position that runs from March-November.
$1320/bi-weekly ($16.50/hour) plus housing and some meals.
