Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is recruiting for Outdoor Education Instructional Interns for the Splash Science and Green Machine Labs. Our Science Outreach programs are a training ground for those interested in the field of Environmental Science Education.
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) helps connect students to nature through science programs that can be conducted in a virtual learning experience or as an on-campus field trip. Our team of educators guide students on an immersive exploration through the world of environmental science.
Splash Science Lab is an inquiry-based program that provides students with the opportunity to learn about watershed issues. Students walk away with a better understanding of how water pollution affects the environment, humans, and wildlife by participating in three hands-on stations involving microscopes, water chemistry experiments, interactive watershed models, and much more.
Green Machine Lab delivers interactive lessons to help students understand why a healthy environment is important to sustainable food production. Students learn about the science of soil, alternative pest management practices, get a greater understanding of natural systems, and use scientific concepts in a real-world situation.
Several part-time positions are available.
