Want to help kindergarten teachers in Baltimore take learning outside? As a Forest Days Lead Teacher/Facilitator, you can support teachers and work directly with kindergarten students in a Baltimore Title 1 public school each week, engaging in meaningful nature-based education.

Summary

The nonprofit Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS) is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced nature-based educator to facilitate weekly outdoor learning with kindergarten students at our host school site in Baltimore. The Forest Days Outdoor Learning Program is a hands-on program that utilizes the school grounds as an outdoor classroom, offering playful opportunities for connection with nature and curricular standards. Classroom teachers participate each week alongside the facilitator, discovering ways to integrate classroom learning with engaging outdoor approaches. This is a grant funded program that serves Title 1 schools, so all gear and materials are provided to students and teachers. We are seeking a Forest Days Lead Teacher/Facilitator on Wednesdays during the 2023-2024 school year, October - June.
