Summary
Little Bugs Nature Preschool is hiring a motivated, trustworthy, and innovative substitute to work as a lead teacher in a nature preschool classroom. The classroom is comprised of 8 preschoolers ages 3 - 5 years old. The position will replace the regular classroom teacher for a short period of time in the classroom; however, the position may turn into a permanent assistant position in the future.
Responsibilities
- Leading engaging activities and invitations outdoors
- Incorporating story and literature throughout the morning
- Communicates effectively and warmly with families at pick up and drop off time
- Provides a physically and emotionally safe environment for young children in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Helps maintain the physical environment by contributing to housekeeping tasks as needed/requested
- The substitute will spend at least 2 hours outdoors with the students in all weather (except thunder, lighting, sleet, and snowstorms)

Compensation Information
This position’s base salary range is $19- $22 per hour; the actual salary will reflect the level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements. This is not a benefits-eligible position. Substitute hours will vary each month, but will be announced at least five days in advance.
Substitute Hours will vary but will take place 7 AM - 1 PM on Monday- Friday.
