Primary Grades Teacher

Cocoplum Nature School is hiring primary grades (K-2) classroom teachers for our untraditional elementary school in Delray Beach, Florida. Our vision is to cultivate liberated learners who can collectively create a more just and healthier planet. We're looking for educators with the magical combination of successful traditional elementary school teaching experience and the passion, creativity, and skills to thrive implementing an emergent curriculum approach.

Qualifications

• Three professional references
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Elementary Grades (K-6) OR 3 years teaching experience AND a degree in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology, environmental studies) AND ability to obtain a Florida teaching certificate within 2 years
• Ability to work in the United States
• Level 2 Fingerprinting
• CPR and First Aid training preferred
• Reading experience/certifications/endorsements preferred

• Agile, creative problem solving

Roles and Responsibilities

Cocoplum Nature School teacher roles and responsibilities include planning, instructing, assessing, supervision and discipline, ongoing professional learning, communication, positive school culture, and other duties as assigned.
