Summary

The Public & School Partnership at Utah State University selects qualified applicants to serve as AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) members or VISTA Summer Associates in local schools and community organizations in the Cache Valley area. The Summer Associate program is a 10-week summer term. PSP's Summer Associates work during local hours of operation to help site supervisors coordinate summer learning, meal access, and/or substance abuse prevention efforts at local schools and community organizations. Summer Associates will work with youth, volunteers, and site staff. Specific activities vary across the available sites.

Summer Associates work 40 hours/week, receive a living stipend, and can choose between an end-of-service education or cash award. Associates are not granted personal or sick days during the 10-week service, except for federal-and state-observed holidays in July.
