Summary
We are seeking an Associate Contracts Manager to support SEI’s sustainability-focused education and workforce development programs. The Associate Contracts Manager position will play an integral role across SEI, working closely with program leaders to efficiently manage our contracting process with a diverse set of partners, clients, and funders many of whom have complex contracting processes and requirements. SEI is located in Marin County, CA and operates on a hybrid work schedule for those located in the Bay Area; however, this position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States for remote work with a preference for the Pacific Time Zone.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of all contracts and professional services agreements across all of SEI’s departments.
- Lead contract negotiations with funders and implementing partners.
- Review contracts and finalize or formalize all partner and funder agreements.
- Develop and champion the systems and processes that enable efficient, effective contract management.
- Work closely with the Finance team to produce required reporting for CPA and Board of Directors
- Procure insurance certificates for contracts; negotiate insurance clauses in contracts as needed.
- In consultation with trademark counsel, ensure SEI’s IP ownership interests are represented in all contracts.
WHO YOU ARE
- AA/AS or BA/BS Degree in relevant fields is a plus.
- 3 + years of experience in contracting and compliance measures, relationship building, and project management.
- Proven track record of managing multiple initiatives successfully, with the ability to prioritize and de-prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in contract negotiation and development with large corporations and government agencies.
- Understand intellectual property rights and has experience refining IP language in contracts.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Experience with and interest in various technologies as well as competency across the Google and Microsoft suites of software. Aptitude and willingness to quickly learn industry or project-specific software.
- Ability to work under direct supervision, collaboratively in teams/partners, or independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with others.
- Experience and aptitude for rapport building & working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, & clients.

Compensation Information
WHAT WE OFFER

- A starting salary of $70,000 annually
