Summary
In an effort to make stronger connections and provide better access to the Spanish speaking communities at the Virginia Coast Reserve, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is hiring a Spanish Language Conservation Outreach Intern. This is a paid summer internship working with TNC staff to plan and host a public outreach event during Latino Conservation Week, assisting with summer nature camps and other youth programming, and translating educational and interpretive materials from English to Spanish. The intern will have the opportunity to interact with all of TNC's local programs – land protection, migratory bird protection, marine habitat restoration, coastal resilience, and outreach and education.

Requirements -
• Current college student or recent graduate
• Fluent in written and oral Spanish and English
• Experience with public speaking and community outreach, preferably with Spanish-speaking communities
• Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record (per TNC Auto Safety Program), and provide own transportation and personal automobile insurance
• Must meet all TNC Youth Qualification requirements and background check
Compensation Information
Current funding provides for $16.50 per hour. Few benefits. Assistance with housing may be available.
