Summary
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History seeks one part-time contractor to conduct outreach for the project, “A Community-Based Approach to Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education,” and the NMNH Cellphone Exhibit project. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with priority communities, groups, and stakeholders in Washington, DC and Alaska for the projects, “A Community-Based Approach to Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education” and the NMNH Cellphone Exhibit project. The contractor will conduct research to collect data and information to inform outreach efforts; will develop, implement, and iterate methodologies for working with local communities; will apply a design-based research approach to outreach methodologies in coordination with the project team; will host, arrange, attend, and facilitate community and stakeholder meetings, workshops, events, focus groups, gatherings; and will perform administrative duties. The contract term is one year, March 27, 2023-March 26, 2014, with two optional periods.

Compensation Information
Applicants will submit a proposal with price quote per the SOW and RFQ. The contract position will not exceed 20 hours per week without prior authorization.
