NOFA/Mass seeks a Pollinator Protection Program Coordinator who will serve as a liaison and manage a communications hub for the statewide network of individuals and community groups working to protect native pollinators and reduce pesticide use. The Pollinator Protection Program Coordinator is a member of the NOFA/Mass Policy Department, organizing public support for pollinator protection policies and pesticides reform.

Summary

NOFA/Mass seeks a Pollinator Protection Program Coordinator who will serve as a liaison and manage a communications hub for the statewide network of individuals and community groups working to protect native pollinators and reduce pesticide use. The Pollinator Protection Program Coordinator is a member of the NOFA/Mass Policy Department, organizing public support for pollinator protection policies and pesticides reform. 

 

20 hours per week

Ideal candidate may also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience engaging directly with the legislative process
  • A background in public policy
  • Broad knowledge of agricultural issues, programs, and policies at the state or local level
  • Experience working with youth
  • Experience coordinating events 
  • Experience in coalition building and community organizing
  • A background in a related field, such as agriculture, biology, ecology, and entomology
  • Graphic design, video and audio production, website development, or other creative or technical skills or experience

 

Other position information:

  • This job can generally be accomplished from home. Employee must provide appropriate basic office equipment to facilitate working remotely.
  • Hours flexible with some onsite and virtual organizational meeting attendance required.
  • Employee must attend NOFA/Mass retreats and staff meetings, the winter and summer conferences, virtual department meetings, and other staff responsibilities.

Compensation

$18-22/hour based on experience. No health insurance available at this time. Monthly stipend for internet & phone.  Starting with two weeks of paid vacation tim

Remote position, but must live in Massachusetts or a neighboring state. Some travel within Massachusetts is required.
