Environmental Education/Farm Interns (Winter/Spring)

We are hiring Winter/Spring Interns (paid) to join our energetic education team at the farm. Winter/Spring interns contribute to the planning, preparation, and delivery of our Homeschool on the Farm and field trip programs. These 3 to 5 month positions will begin in March 2023 and are well suited for those who enjoy the outdoors and have a talent for teaching and inspiring curiosity in others!

Responsibilities include:

• Lead environmental and agricultural activities and lessons for the Homeschool on the Farm program and field trips.

• Assist with Summer Explorers Camp planning and preparation which will include research, creating daily activities and themes, and compiling materials.

• Run activities for birthday parties, scout events, and tours at the farm.

• Assist with farm tasks including feeding animals, mucking barn, restocking feed, organizing barn areas, general cleanup, moving hay bales and equipment, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

• Background in teaching, environmental sciences, or related.

• Enthusiasm to learn, explore, and teach! • CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

• Experience with performance/virtual field trips/social media a plus.

Additional Details:

· Pay rate: $14.50/hour for 20 hours/week

· Must have own transportation.

· Housing not provided.
