Summer Camp Coordinator

Work outside with kids this summer with New Castle County's department of Parks and Recreation! New Castle County Government has openings for full-time summer positions coordinating summer recreation camps. Camp Coordinators plan, organize, and direct camp and summer programs and activities across different County parks.

Job Duties and Requirements: 

• Applicants must have completed two years of college and have at least three years of experience leading groups of children. Current and former teachers are encouraged to apply.

• Oversees several summer camp locations including supervision of subordinate staff.

• Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of youth participants and promoting positive behavior.

• Responsible for implementation of NCC rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and programming.

• Serves as primary liaison between programs and Program Manager.

• Works independently and make appropriate decisions.

• Helps to investigate and resolve complaints and inquiries.

• Maintains camp records and submits reports.
