Summary
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for general camp operations and spearheading special events, such as evening activities, excursion days, and ‘once a session’ events. The Operations Coordinator is also responsible for planning and executing staff events and supporting staff days off transportation. The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Coordinator team, Administrative team, and Outdoor Programs team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and facilitate special events (i.e. evening activities, weekly events, once a session events)

Create and plan staff events to support the staff experience, such as post-evening activities or day off options

Manage camp vehicle reservation and scheduling

Develop strong relationships and work closely with multiple teams within camp; including the Coordinator team, the Administrative team, the Outdoor Programs team, and Camp Leadership.

Maintain essential duties as member of the Coordinator team

Meet with other Coordinator Team members to discuss and address camp concerns;

Participate in Leader of the Day (LoD) rotation to ensure camp schedule runs smoothly

Practice professional presentation and communication with participants and their families, co-workers, and the public

Instill joy and enthusiasm into the daily life of camp
PREREQUISITES:

Experience with operations or event management preferred

Applicant must be at least 21 years old to drive participants, Attend Driver’s Training, as necessary

Must pass background check

Driver’s license approved by Chewonki’s insurance carrier

Compensation Information
Starting Salary: $5,100, increases based on prior leadership experience
